Hi, I'm Amar Kota, a technologist, spouse, father, pet parent and lifelong learner.
I was born and raised in Surf City, USA but my work has taken me all around the world. Along the way, I pursued my graduate degree on a part-time basis while working. After graduating, I taught a software course at night while still working during the day. These experiences shaped how I lead: make complex ideas clear, build capable teams, and connect technology to practical outcomes.
One lesson that has stayed with me was when my professor remarked that although we were learning C++, most of us would not build our careers around it. She was right. The object-oriented fundamentals I learned early in my education enabled me to continually adapt — learning .NET, Python, TypeScript, SQL and more, and applying those skills to build desktop, web, mobile, cloud, and now AI / ML applications.
Outside of work, I'm usually eating out, joining a group workout, or taking a wagon walk with the kids and dog.
